Linda M. Gourash, MD
Dr. Gourash is a Developmental Pediatrician. She received her medical
degree from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington D.C., and
completed her pediatric and subspecialty training at the Children's
Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1980 before serving on the full time faculty
of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine until 1991 in the
Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry. As the Medical Director of the
Prader-Willi and Behavioral Disorders Program of the Children’s
Institute of Pittsburgh she worked for more than 5 years almost
exclusively with children and adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome and
related disorders who were referred for inpatient crisis intervention
for medical and behavioral problems from throughout the USA and Canada.
Currently, Dr. Gourash serves on the board of directors and as clinical
consultant for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of the USA and as
speaker and clinical consultant for the International Prader-Willi
Syndrome Organization. She provides consultation and educational
programs throughout the US and internationally through Pittsburgh
Partnership, Specialists in PWS.
Dr. Gourash is featured in a DVD produced by the PWSA which has
recorded her presentations for more widespread distribution. Dr. Gourash
has a private practice in Developmental Pediatrics in Pittsburgh, PA.
